Privacy Policy
In short: your photos are processed on your iPhone and never leave it. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The only data that leaves the app is what is needed to check your subscription.
This policy explains how Watermark Remover (“the app”), made by Oxetech (“we”), handles your information.
Your photos
- You choose a photo with Apple’s photo picker. The app sees only the photo you pick, not the rest of your library.
- Removing things from a photo runs entirely on your device, using an AI model built into the app. Photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
- When you save, the app adds the edited copy to your photo library using Apple’s “Add Photos Only” permission. It cannot read, change or delete your existing photos.
- The saved copy keeps the metadata of the original photo (for example camera details, and location if the original had it), the same as the original in your library.
No account
The app has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for or receive your name, email address or phone number.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active subscription and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the app and your App Store purchase history for this app. It does not receive your photos, name or email address. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Data stored on your device
- A record that your free first save has been used, kept in your device’s Keychain.
- App preferences, kept in the app’s local settings.
This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Notifications
If you start the free trial of the yearly plan, the app asks for permission to send one local reminder the day before your trial ends. The reminder is scheduled on your device; no notification data is sent to us. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
Analytics, ads and tracking
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking, and it does not use Apple’s advertising identifier. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
